Accountant
Location: Nicosia, Cyprus
DANOS is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is looking to further develop their accounting career.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and financial record-keeping
- Prepare and process invoices, supplier payments, and customer payments
- Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations
- Assist with VAT preparation and submissions
- Maintain financial records, including General Ledger and Accounts Payable documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments to support financial operations
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Support the finance team with additional tasks as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA (advantageous)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role
- Knowledge of financial regulations and local compliance requirements
- Fluent in Greek and English (written and spoken)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential assets across Cyprus while contributing to the continued growth of our valuation services.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare valuations for financial reporting, loan security, and other valuation purposes in accordance with RICS standards
- Conduct property inspections and market research
- Analyse comparable evidence and market trends
- Review leases, development agreements, and trading information
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Support major valuation assignments and client reporting
- Contribute to the growth and strategic development of the department
Requirements
- RICS Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer
- Strong commercial and residential valuation experience
- Excellent knowledge of local market conditions and legislation
- Proven business development and client relationship skills
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
- Full driving licence with willingness to travel across Cyprus
