DANOS, an alliance member of BNP PARIBAS REAL ESTATE, was one of the sponsors of the DDC 8th edition of NPL Management Greece 2022, which was carried out with great success on May 24, 2022, in Divani Caravel Hotel.
During the conference, Real Estate members, distinguished Greek and foreign experts with extensive involvement in the Real Estate Market, as well as members of real estate management, organisations and financial institutions / banks, presented the current situation in the Real Estate Market of Greece.
Mr. Yannis Paraskevopoulos, General Manager of DANOS, an alliance member of BNP PARIBAS REAL ESTATE, participated in the panel discussion with the topic “Distressed and REO Management”.
He noted that Real Estate remained resilient during the Pandemic, each asset type has a different level of recovery and the impact from war and energy crisis are not yet measurable. Answering the question about main type of property collaterals / REOs, he commented that niche markets need to be identified, as well as that Athens and Thessaloniki remain the most demanded cities (resort hotel markets on the main islands are excluded).
Furthermore, he pointed out that the investors are looking constantly for new projects/ products and that flexibility, quality and ESG parameters will lead the discussion in the next years.
